Protecting the International Student Rainforest Reserve in Amazonas, Peru
In partnership with Nature and Culture and The World Land Trust-US, the International Student Rainforest Reserve will grow with each penny adding 1 square yard of rainforest to the Reserve.

Through these mountain forests, wild rivers flow through steep hillsides - pouring into the Peruvian Amazon, these rivers are critical for water supplies throughout the region
Unique, threatened species are protected in the Reserve, including the very rare Yellow-tailed Woolly Monkey, Mountain Tapir and Spectacled Bear
Community members are being trained as conservation managers of the International Student Rainforest Reserve
Local schools will participate in environmental education for the long-term protection of the rainforest

Protecting Southwestern rivers in the United States
In partnership with The Nature Conservancy, we are protecting desert rivers for beavers, otters and other wildlife. Each penny will purchase 1 gallon of clean water for these threatened waterways.

Healthy rivers create a healthy ecosystem that supports forests on the river banks, agriculture in nearby fields and an enormous variety of animals, birds and insects
In 2012, water will be purchased for the Verde River in Arizona to help ensure enough water for the otters and beavers that make their homes on the river

$50.00 purchases and protects 1 acre of rainforest or 1 gallon of river water. Contributions of any amount help, from $1 to $1,000—your small actions add up to a Big Gift for the Earth!

One Square Yard of Rainforest Activity Guide
This unit provides 3 activities for grades 4-6 to practice math skills: measurement, area of rectangles, and ratio and proportion. Teach students about the importance of the rainforest biome and that their actions can make a difference in protecting this valuable habitat. One penny can purchase 1 square yard of rainforest! One classroom can have a positive impact on rainforest conservation.
