7. A mother crocodile laid 38 eggs. In 1 hour 17 eggs hatched. The rest hatched in the next hour. How many eggs hatched in the second hour?

8. In one day, a crocodile ate 7 fish, 3 crabs, 1 crane, 4 turtles, and 3 stones. How many animals did it eat altogether? Hint: Read carefully-this is a tricky question.

9. A leaf cutter ant has 6 legs. How many legs do 11 leaf cutter ants have?

10. 12 eagles live in 48 acres of forest. How many acres does each eagle have for hunting range? Hint: Divide acres by eagles.

Bonus Problem: Look back at the answers to the ten questions above. Which are even numbers? Which are odd? Hint: You can divide even numbers evenly in two. Odd numbers divided by two leave one left over.
