Oozing slime is one of the world's most fascinating creatures.
It is the ideal laboratory organism. Growing slime and doing real
experiments introduces students to the scientific method, and it's
just plain fun! It has some traits of plants, some of animals,
some of single-celled organisms and some of multi-celled organisms!
It is not a fungus or bacteria. Some scientists think it should be
categorized as a completely different species, i.e. none of the
above. It is perfectly safe!
