"The Flying Chef lives in a Burriti tree which provides food, bedding and a secure nursery for breeding. They rarely have to search for water as rain falls every day. "Millions of insects cover the floor and it uses its long tongue to snatch many ants at one time. Its beak has a saw-like top and shovel bottom to break open hard fruits and nuts. "Because its wings are long and pointed, it is able to fly swiftly away from other creatures that may cause them harm. "They flutter quickly to make a sound to attract females. They also have a colorful crown to show the females when they arrive. "For bedding, the female collects twigs, mud and grass, then makes a nest to lay her eggs. The male rubs warm mud all over his beak and carefully puts the mud on the eggs to keep them warm until they hatch. "Because the Flying Chef has a keen sense of hearing, it can escape quickly when danger may be approaching."
