On your scientific drawing:
Write the common name.
Write the Genus & Species.
Write the size of the animal.
Draw the side view or top view of the animal.
Draw the larva or nymph, if possible.
Draw other interesting things like chrysalis, eggs, den or a
close-up.
Write your name and age on the bottom right corner.
Glue the range map on the bottom left corner.
Hold your paper vertically and fold it in half.
Each half is for one animal. Fill the area with your drawing.
A large drawing helps you show more details.
Look at a picture or model of your animal.
Using a pencil, draw one part of the animal. Lookdrawlookdraw.
Proportions are important.
Draw only what you see.
This is a scientific drawing. Don't add a smile to its face.
When you are finished:
Use colored pencils to fill in the realistic colors of the animal.
