Carolina Mantis
I was laid in an egg case. I hung out on a piece of silk. I waited for hours there. I stopped hanging on the silk. So I was off on my journey out to the world. As a nymph I ate aphids. I was an adult. Finally my wings grew. Now I eat flies and bugs. One day I found a mate. She almost bit my head off! My mate laid eggs in an egg case. Just as a nymph was coming out I died of old age.
