Rainforest Keywords Lesson Plan
The virtual tour can enrich children's understanding of the rainforests just by seeing pictures of the animals and landscapes. You can also use the 30 keywords in your lesson plans. Each keyword links to a new window with a brief description of an animal or a part of the rainforest; the main page will be partially hidden behind it.

You can assign one keyword to each child and share the "reports" in small groups or on a bulletin board with drawings. Older children can do more research about each keyword in the library or online.

Take the tour yourself before making the assignment. Some children might need help with understanding how to move from page to page, or how to view the keywords. Each computer system and online service is slightly different. Perhaps 'computer literate' children can assist classmates with learning online.
