Other community-minded organizations have recognized our efforts:
“Education World” cited EBP in their 2005 reviews, grading us an A for “effective Earth Day related learning resources….”
In 2005, EBP was one of four recipients of the Toyota USA Foundation’s grants funding math and science for K-12. “We’re delighted to help these four outstanding organizations initiate math and science programs,” said Atsushi “Art” Niimi, president of the foundation. “Each of these recipients has developed a unique initiative designed to help K-12 students become more proficient in the areas of mathematics and science. The awards will help them implement these initiatives and provide additional training for teachers, in order to maintain and expand them throughout the years.”
The Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation uses our grant application and budget as samples on their web site and gave us kudos for “financial transparency” and ensuring that “all prospective donors and foundations had full information and accountability.”
With a full-time staff of three, and the help of several part-timers, EBP serves tens of thousands of teachers across the United States each year.
A small or large contribution will help us continue providing elementary students with the chance to look closely and wonder. Children who wonder will care about the Earth.
